NECCSL Playoff Tournament
Northeastern 0 - 2 Brown
Northeastern 1 - 0 Dartmouth
NU goal: Ryan Murray

The Northeastern University Men's Club Soccer Team finished their season with a best ever 9-3-7 record. The end of the season saw the squad very depleted with injuries and they were disappointed not to advance in the NECCSL League Playoff Tournament. However, the team placed a best ever 4th in the Region 1 Tournament and will be looking to improve on this next season. The team is only graduating one regular player in Senior Jeff Francisco, and they wish him the best. This bodes very well for the team's future though as they will retain the same core group of players that brought them so much success this year. NUSC will look to train in the off season and possibly infuse some new players for the 2009 season.

About NUSC

The Northeastern University Men's Club Soccer Team plays its third season in the New England Collegiate Club Soccer League, which has been expanded this fall to 16 teams throughout the area. NU plays in the North Division along with several Boston area schools and northern New England schools. In addition, NU will again be participating in a tournament at Penn State. Last season, the team had a winning record and enjoyed its best season to date, losing to the third place finisher in the region, UPENN, on penalties in the Regional Quarterfinal. The NUSC plays year round, with a full fall schedule, including league games and several tournaments. The team also plays friendly matches in the winter and spring seasons, pick up games during the summer, and various training sessions in the off season.
